Comments / Life Story:

Taught elementary school in Barrow, AK, then Kenai, AK. Worked at the Community College a couple of years, then formed a non-profit corp. and did adult education, GED, etc. (grant writing!). Back into the public schools to teach Gifted and Talented classes for a few years before early retirement. Also had a photography business, served on many boards and committees, commercial fished in Bristol Bay summers, and had our own airplane to get over there. Now retired. Remarried. And living in Kingston, WA. My sons and 3 grandchildren live in Girdwood, AK.

School Story:

I was the official "Girl Friday" in 1968: I was secretary, errand-runner, occasional chaperone, schedule keeper, go-fer, and later, typist of notes for the dissertation about the program. I was a college student at the time, and owe a great deal to Robert Casebeer, my high school and college mentor. (Thanks, Bob!)
